Art Walk in Competa

Once again, an assembly of international artists will gather in Competa to show their work. Join us for this 9th edition of the Competa Art Walk, to see the art and meet the artists in person.

Last year was a tremendous success, as you can see in this video:

And we’re doing it again: Over 4 days, from 11AM to 7PM, you get to see a wide variety of art in different locations in this historic town. The artists will be delighted to meet you, and talk about their work, inspiration, vision, and techniques.

This art walk is growing every year, and it’s an event many people look forward to. Some of the participating artists live in or near the village, while others fly in especially to take part in this art event.

There is really so much to see and to experience! Paintings, drawings, textile art, ceramic art, bronze and glass sculptures, turned wood and silver jewelry will be on show.

Not to mention Competa itself - a special kind of town. Perched high in the foothills of the Sierra Almijarra, this traditional ‘pueblo blanco’ combines stunning sea&mountain views, winding streets, a broad variety of excellent cuisine and an adorable community. Come spend a few days with us, and discover all that Competa has to offer.

This year, there will be another creative workshop for children, hosted by a selection of the artists, with the works to be shown at various locations.

If you are looking for high quality arts & crafts & a fantastic atmosphere, the Competa Artwalk is THE place to be!

On behalf of the artists and craftsmen of Cómpeta and the guest artists we welcome you to the 9th Art Walk!

Admission: free. The car park in the village will be open.
